12 Members and 14 Family and Friends enjoyed an excellent days golf in balmy conditions. The sun graced us with its presence and the course was in the best condition we have experienced for this time of year.
The food and hospitality were excellent and all enjoyed the day. The scoring reflected the conditions with some excellent play from particularly the lower handicap players amongst us.
The Team winners of the ‘Waltz’ were Bill Merry and his team of Richard Collins, Nick Rice and Mick Freeman with 87 points followed by Andrew Hardy and his guest Mark Long with Michael Foster and David Torrance on 84 points.
The Nearest the Pins were won by guest Dannie Vosloo and Neil Meixner.
The Individual Guest winner was Richard Maxwell with 40 points playing off 5 (so 1 over the course!). Some great golf there!
The Recessional Bowl for members was won by Andrew Hardy (cut 2) on 38 points – playing off 17 – congratulations.
David Wannerton on 35 was runner-up playing off 16 (cut 1).
