Sandy Lodge proved to be a great test although the greens were slower than on our previous visits.

There was some good scoring with Charles Gjertsen and his guest Brian Christian winning the team prize with 47 points from Ken Adams supported by his guest Andy Ritchie on 45 points.
The Guest Winner was Andy Ritchie on 38 points playing off 9.
The Autumn Cup for EPIC Members was hotly contested with Paul Houghton (38 points) (cut 1) losing out on count-back to Neil Meixner (cut 2).
It is a credit to Paul Houghton who declared his latest club handicap as 5 not the 6 as previously recorded, but it reminds us that it is the responsibility of all golfers to declare changes to their official handicaps at events.
It was therefore gratifying that Paul Houghton should win the nearest the pin with guest Richard Draper picking up the nearest the pin in two prize
34 Members and guests enjoyed an excellent dinner provided by the Club. Sandy Lodge has become a firm favourite of EPIC and we shall return again next year.
Please remember to put 8.30am for 9.30 tee off on 27th October 2016 in your diary for the East Herts event. Our traditional last qualifying event of the year.
