A great time was had by all at the EPIC Spring Cup event held for the first time this year at Moor Park on the High Course.
42 Members and Guests set off on this challenging but excellently presented course after a Ploughman’s Lunch in the magnificent mansion that is the clubhouse.
The ball sweep raised £390 for our charity “Hertfordshire Air Ambulance”
Guests Matthew Goodwin and Damon Golder won the “Nearest the Pin” and “Nearest the Pin in 2” competitions. Team winners were Tom Lacey and Michael Rogers with a magnificent 49 points from Matthew Goodwin and Steve Miles on 42.
Tom Lacey demolished the course with a 40 point return playing off 12, however in time honoured tradition Steve Miles on 34 points received the “Guest Winner” voucher as we don’t let anyone win more than one prize!! Bad Luck Tom!
In the Members Individual no-one wants to come second as you get cut 1 and receive no prize. 4 members were in a tie for second. After adjudication the unlucky runner up on count-back was Michael Rogers (Cut 1) from Feargal McEnearney, Darrell Lewis and Will Evans
Congratulation to Charles Gjertsen who this year takes home the Spring Cup with 33 points. (cut 2 for one year). Well done Charles.
