This years tour was to La Quinta Resort near Marbella.
11 EPIC members took the trip and entered the spirit of the Ryder Cup format with gusto. Thanks to Nick Archer for organising the trip.

The competitions, were played over three sets of 18 holes selected from the 27 available at the Club. The weather was fantastic with wall to wall sunshine throughout the trip
The teams were divided on an age basis with the Oldies taking on the Young(er) Ones. On Friday 7th and Saturday 8th 6-Four-Ball matches were completed and on Sunday 9th 5 – Singles Matches were hotly contested. Whilst the individual results are difficult to establish due to the passage of time and liquid refreshment the result as all agreed was a draw!!!
The Green Jacket was hotly contested again this year with a number of players needing a good last round to secure the title. The winner again this year by 1 stableford point was David Jenkins with David Wannerton and Paul Springall in close pursuit. Congratulations to David who gets to keep the Green Jacket for another year.
Please look out for details of Next Years Tour which Malcolm Marshall is organising. The details so far are that it will be over the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th October. Travel out will be to Faro on the afternoon/evening of the 5th. We will be staying in Vilamoura, Portugal and playing some great courses.
